We teach absolute beginners the basics of surfing, showing you the way to paddle out, catch a wave and control your body weight to stand up.

Professional surfers take you out into the water and give you individual training to make you more confident in the waves.

The boards we use are shaped like longboards but are much shorter (mini mals) making it easy to learn on. These boards are light, stable and are ideal for learning.

Cape Surfing Adventure Package - Standard Itinerary - Day 1

Arrive in Cape Town and meet at Downhill Adventures. Get orientated with the city by going up Table mountain in a cable car. Meet at lower cable station at 2pm for Table Mountain Double Descent Mountain Biking. Dinner and drinks in town (at own expense), before going back to your chosen accommodation for the night.

Cape Surfing Adventure Package - Standard Itinerary - Day 2

The first day of Surf school. Boards and wetsuits are fitted and then head off to the beach with professional instructors for the first day of surfing. Emphasis in the theory and background of surfing with two sessions in the water. Picnic lunch included. Dinner at own expense.

Cape Surfing Adventure Package - Standard Itinerary - Day 3

Our local surf report will help us identify the best surf location of the day. Two to three surf sessions in the water, and the day spent at the beach. Picnic lunch included. In the evening there will be a night out on the town visiting bars and restaurants (own expense).

Cape Surfing Adventure Package - Standard Itinerary - Day 4

Surf school continues and surfers will be taken to more challenging waves and different breaks, allowing for a full day in the water and on the beach. Instructors evaluate surf progress and advise on points of improvement and possible new equipment. Picnic lunch included. Dinner at own expense.

Cape Surfing Adventure Package - Standard Itinerary - Day 5

Sandboarding expedition to some of the biggest dunes in the Cape peninsula. All equipment provided and full instruction given. Riders are guaranteed to pick up this awesome sport, and will enjoy having their snowboarding skills tested. There will be a late afternoon surf session to get rid of all the sand! Picnic lunch included.

Cape Surfing Adventure Package - Standard Itinerary - Day 6

Rest day from surfing. Mountain bike tour through the Cape Point Nature Reserve visiting the Southern most tip of Africa and seeing wild buck, zebras baboons, whales and penguins. Picnic lunch included.

Cape Surfing Adventure Package - Standard Itinerary - Day 7

Surf school - back into the water to catch one final day of great waves at a new surf break. Picnic lunch included.

Adventure Tours - Cape Surfing Adventure Package Notes

1. Equipment - all adventure equipment (surfing, Sandboarding and mountain bikes) will be provided.

2. Accommodation - Depending on the availability, backpacker accommodation, or guest houses are are used. Both provide comfortable and stylish living conditions with amenities such as bars, cafes, pools and a sundeck.

3. Meals - all breakfasts included in the package as well as picnic lunches on the full day adventure trips (7 days). The last night's dinner is also included.

4. Transportation - all transportation to the surf and adventure locations are provided as well as shuttles to and from the airport.
